Woodman CNC Control is an Android app that turns your phone into a remote control for a laser or CNC router. It talks to the same controllers as the machine on your desk — AWC and Ruida — directly over the local network, no computer needed nearby. Walk up to the machine, open the app, send the job and start cutting — the whole path from file to cut fits on one screen in your pocket.
The cutting file is prepared right there too: the app opens DXF, AI, SVG and regular images (PNG, JPG), lays them out on a virtual table, lets you set speed, power and pass count for each color separately, and sends the finished job to the machine. The job is calculated by the same engine used in the desktop Woodman Docker for CorelDRAW, so the result comes out just as precise as when it's prepared on a computer.
Home screen — the machine remote. Shows the connection status, lets you connect, set the origin point, mark the future cutting frame with the machine's beam, fire a pulse to test the power, and jog the machine with arrows. It also has the start, pause and emergency stop buttons.
File picker. Shows the phone's storage, recent and favorite files, plus a shared folder from your work computer over the local network: a file from the computer opens on the phone with no extra software and no manual copying. Every file and folder shows a thumbnail, so you don't open the wrong one by guessing.
Layout window. The work table for the job you're building. You can add several files and simple shapes (rectangle, circle, polygon, star) at once, then move, rotate and resize each one — with on-screen gestures or exact numbers. Every color in a file and every shape has its own settings row: speed, power, pass count, air assist, and whether it's included in the job at all. Layers can be hidden, reordered and removed one at a time.
Raster settings. A separate panel for images and raster areas embedded in a file: brightness, contrast, sharpness, dot-printing mode and inversion — with a preview of what will actually come out on the material.
Path settings. This is where cutting-path optimization is turned on and tuned: object order, joining close lines, traversal direction. The machine's acceleration and speed don't have to be typed in by hand — they can be read straight from the machine with one button.
Save and share. A finished layout saves in the app's own format, complete with every layer, setting and object position, and reopens exactly as it was. From the layout you can export the drawing as DXF or as a PNG image and share it through any messenger or email.
The app doesn't need a computer nearby: the phone connects to the machine directly over Wi-Fi, and reaches the work computer only for files, through a regular shared Windows folder. A layout isn't a vector editor — it's built from ready-made layers: each layer is either a whole file or a single shape, and it's moved, adjusted and removed as a whole, without editing individual nodes or lines. Speed and power settings are remembered per color and applied automatically whenever that color shows up in a new file. The interface is translated into six languages — Russian, English, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Spanish and Arabic — and works just as well for routine cutting from a template as for fine-tuning a layout on the spot, right at the machine.
